Valles Marineris: The Grand Canyon of Mars
The largest canyon in the Solar System cuts a wide swath across the face of Mars. Named Valles Marineris, the grand valley extends over 3,000 kilometers long, spans as much as 600 kilometers across, and delves as much as 8 kilometers deep. By comparison, the Earth’s Grand Canyon in Arizona, USA is 800 kilometers long, 30 kilometers across, and 1.8 kilometers deep. The origin of the Valles Marineris remains unknown, although a leading hypothesis holds that it started as a crack billions of years ago as the planet cooled. Several geologic processes have been identified in the canyon. Webpack Config via /r/reactjs
So I know what Webpack is and what it's used for. However, as a React nube, I have no clue why I should care, since I just run create-react-app, code my app, run npm build and deploy that shit. The things is in a few interviews I have been asked about "Webpack Config" and have no clue how I'm supposed to respond to that. Is it ever necessary to "config" webpack if using create-react-app? Or perhaps some folks don't use create-react-app?

Announcing Appwrite BAAS 0.6: New Database UI and TypeScript Support
After six long weeks of work since the last Appwrite release and about ~250 commits, Appwrite 0.6 is out with TypeScript support, a new Flutter integration, a new database UI, and many more features and improvements.
If you havenโt heard about Appwrite before, Itโs an open-source BAAS (backend-as-a-service) that abstracts a lot of the complexity and repetitiveness required when building an API from scratch. The server comes packaged as a set of Docker containers you can host anywhere really quickly, and it has lots of built-in security features.

Check it out: https://ift.tt/2qk7YoF Summary: On 24ย Mayย 1979, in a game against Worcestershire, Somerset County Cricket Club captain Brian Rose chose to declare his team’s innings closed after one over, throwing the game to manipulate a loophole in the rules. He was aiming to avoid elimination on a strike rate tie-breaker from the quarterfinals of the 1979 Benson & Hedges Cup, a one-day cricket competition for counties in England and Wales. After Somerset scored one run and declared, Worcestershire scored the two runs they needed to win. The match at New Road (pictured) in Worcester was completed in 18ย minutes, with only 16 legal deliveries. Although Somerset’s declaration was within the Laws of Cricket, Rose was condemned by the press and cricket officials. Just over a week after the match, the Test and County Cricket Board met for an emergency session and voted to eject Somerset from the competition by a vote of seventeen to one. The Laws were later changed to ban declarations in professional one-day cricket.
